Itinerary

Day-1

Arrival in Lucerne by train from the Swiss border or airport.

Overnight in Lucerne.

Day-2

Explore Lucerne and its old town. Make sure you visit one of its surrounding mountains like Mt. Pilatus, Mt. Rigi or Mt. Titlis.

Overnight in Lucerne.

Day-3

Board the train for Lugano to experience the Mediterranean charm of food and architecture. 

Overnight in Lugano.

Day-4

Make a boat excursion to the village of Gandria or explore theSwiss Miniature in Melide, an open air miniature park.

Overnight in Lugano.

Day-5

Today you take the train from Lugano via Locarno to Domodossola in Italy, from where you board the train to Lausanne and visit the Olympic Museum.

Day-6

Get a French feel by visiting the Lavaux region with its landscape of terraced vineyards (a UNESCO World Heritage Site).

Day-7

Return to Swiss border or airport or continue your stay in Switzerland according to your own plans.
