Do Dham Yatra by MI-17 Helicopter – 3 Nights 4 Days

Kedarnath: Nestled in the breathtaking Mandakini Valley and cradled by towering peaks, the majestic Kedarnath Temple rests on a glacial terrace- a remnant of an ancient glacier long melted away. This is Lord Shiva’s domain, and the region stands as a living testament to his divine legends and mystical exploits. According to tradition, the temple was built by the Pandeva’s, protagonists of the Mahabharata, as a tribute to Lord Shiva’s forgiveness following their act of fratricide- granted after an exhilarating chase through the Himalayas. The pilgrimage to Kedarnath — the most significant of the twelve Jyotirlingas scattered across India- is a journey not just of faith, but of communion with timeless tales, legendary devotion, and the divine presence itself.

Badrinath: The Shrine of Badrinath is believed to be as ancient as time itself. Dedicated to Lord Vishnu, it was revived in the 8th century by Adi Shankaracharya as part of his spiritual mission to rejuvenate Hinduism. Situated along the banks of the Alakhnanda River (also known as Rishi Ganga), the temple and the cluster of sacred sites surrounding it form a destination of immense spiritual resonance. The final 11 kilometers leading to Badrinath is a steep and invigorating ascent. Upon reaching Devdarshni, an awe-inspiring panorama of the entire valley unfolds — the temple town, the resplendent façade of the shrine, and the twin peaks of Nar and Narayan standing as sentinels on either side. Above them rises the radiant Neelkanth peak, crowning the landscape with celestial splendor, invoking an immediate sense of spiritual upliftment.

DO DHAM YATRA ITINERARY

The tour begins with a pick-up from Dehradun Airport or Railway Station one day prior to the scheduled 3 Night 4 Days Yatra departure, followed by a transfer to the hotel. In the evening, our team will conduct a detailed briefing on the entire Do Dham Yatra at 20:30 hrs. Each guest will be provided with a duffle bag during the briefing, in which essential luggage must be packed. Please note that a maximum of 3 kg per person is permitted. Enjoy an overnight stay in Dehradun, complete with a hearty dinner.

Note: As part of tour preparations, our staff will record each pilgrim’s body weight during the briefing session. Kindly ensure your presence.

After breakfast, the group will be transferred by road to the Jolly Grant Helipad, a 45-minute drive. From there, you’ll board a helicopter to Guptkashi Helipad and then take another flight from the designated helipad to Kedarnath. Upon arrival at Kedarnath helipad, a short walk of approximately 500 meters (around 15 minutes) will take us to the sacred temple. Our ground staff will escort the group, ensuring a seamless transition to the VIP darshan at the revered Kedarnath Temple. Following the darshan and pujan ceremony, will return by helicopter to Guptkashi. Lunch will be served, and the group will enjoy an overnight stay at a comfortable hotel either in Guptkashi located along the tranquil banks of the Mandakini River or in the spiritual heart of Kedarnath Dham.

Important Travel Advisory: Guptkashi to Kedarnath:

  1. As per government regulations, the helicopter service from Guptkashi to Kedarnath will switch from a double-engine aircraft to a single-engine shuttle. For safety reasons, passengers are kindly requested to retain the same seating arrangement throughout the journey.
  2. Please note that passengers who travel together on the double-engine helicopter may be allocated separate flights for the Guptkashi–Kedarnath segment due to operational constraints.

Accommodation Notice: An overnight stay at Kedarnath is arranged on a triple or quad-sharing basis, payable directly at the location. Kindly be advised that the accommodation facilities at Kedarnath Dham are modest above average in quality, but not luxurious. Passengers are encouraged to manage expectations accordingly.

After breakfast, guests will check out from their hotel in Guptkashi and proceed to helipad. From there, they will board a helicopter bound for Badrinath Dham. Upon arrival at Badrinath Helipad, passengers can check in to their hotel, conveniently located near the temple. Our ground staff will assist with darshan at the sacred Badrinath Temple, ensuring a smooth and spiritually fulfilling visit. In the evening, a visit to the nearby Mana Village is highly recommended. Known as the first Indian village after the international border with China, Mana offers a rare glimpse into local Himalayan culture, mythology, and scenic beauty. In the evening, guests may participate in the Sandhya Arti at Badrinath Temple (optional and at personal cost).

After breakfast, we begin our return journey to Dehradun, a breathtaking flight that offers stunning aerial views of the region.
