The Char Dham Yatra is among India’s most celebrated pilgrimage tours, encompassing four major Hindu shrines: Yamunotri, Gangotri, Kedarnath, and Badrinath. It is believed that undertaking this yatra invites divine blessings and offers the seeker an opportunity for salvation.
Whether you’re starting your journey from a domestic city or an international location, April to November is the ideal time to embark on this spiritually enriching tour. Along the way, travellers are treated to scenic vistas—lush valleys, cascading waterfalls, majestic mountain ranges, and centuries-old temples.

CHARDHAM ITINERARY
The tour begins with a pick-up from Dehradun Airport or Railway Station one day prior to the scheduled Char Dham Yatra departure, followed by a transfer to the hotel. In the evening, our team will conduct a detailed briefing on the entire Char Dham Yatra at 20:30 hrs.
Each guest will be provided with a duffle bag during the briefing, in which essential luggage must be packed. Please note that a maximum of 5 kg per person is permitted.
Enjoy an overnight stay in Dehradun, complete with a hearty dinner.
Note: As part of tour preparations, our staff will record each pilgrim’s body weight during the briefing session. Kindly ensure your presence.
The auspicious Char Dham Yatra begins from the Sahastradhara Helipad in Dehradun. Guests will check out from the hotel at the designated time, after which our representative will escort them to the helipad.
Upon arrival, our ground personnel will warmly welcome the guests and assist them in settling into the waiting lounge. Pre-flight instructions will be provided before boarding the helicopter.
Upon arrival at Kharsali, guests will be received by our ground staff and transferred to Yamunotri Temple by palki or pony. The trek from the helipad to the temple is approximately 6 kilometres, and a round trip by palki typically takes around 5 hours. After darshan, guests will return to the helipad and proceed to their accommodation. Enjoy a peaceful overnight stay at Kharsali.
Note: A toll tax of ₹600 per pilgrim is levied by the Gram Panchayat and must be paid directly by guests. This is a tentative schedule provided to give an overview of the Yatra timings. Please note that these timings are provisional and subject to change based on weather condition and weight adjustment. The final and appropriate timings will be communicated 1 day prior to the event date to ensure smooth coordination.
After checking out from the hotel at the designated time, guests will board the helicopter from Kharsali Helipad and arrive at Harsil Helipad, Gangotri, within the estimated flight duration.
Nestled in one of Uttarakhand’s most breathtaking valleys, Harsil is often referred to as Mini Switzerland due to its stunning natural beauty. From Harsil Helipad, Gangotri Temple is approximately 22 kilometres away, with a scenic drive taking around 50 minutes by car.
It is recommended that guests proceed directly to the temple upon landing. Our ground staff will assist with darshan at Gangotri Temple, ensuring a smooth and spiritually enriching experience.
After returning from the temple, guests can enjoy lunch at the resort, followed by some well-earned relaxation. In the evening, unwind by the campfire or take a leisurely walk to the nearby village, where you can shop for authentic woollen items such as sweaters, shawls, and mufflers—handcrafted by local tribal women.
This part of the journey offers not just spiritual depth but also cultural charm,making it a cherished highlight of the Char Dham Yatra.
Guests are advised to check out from their hotel at the designated time, after which they will proceed to Harsil Helipad. From Harsil, guests will fly onward to Guptkashi/ Phata, continuing their Char Dham journey.
At Guptkashi/Phata, guests will board a helicopter shuttle to Kedarnath Dham. The helicopter will land at Kedarnath Helipad, located approximately 500 meters from the temple. Our ground staff will assist with VIP darshan arrangements, ensuring a smooth and spiritually fulfilling experience.
Darshan at Kedarnath typically takes around 2 hours, while the shuttle flight duration is approximately 10 minutes each way.
After darshan, guests will return to Guptkashi/Phata by helicopter and will be transferred by road to their hotel. The overnight stay will be arranged either at Guptkashi or Kedarnath, depending on the itinerary and weather conditions.
Note: Night halt at Kedarnath will be arranged on a triple or quad sharing basis and is payable directly by the guests. Please be advised that the accommodation quality available at Kedarnath Dham is modestly above average. While it is clean and functional, guests are encouraged to maintain realistic expectations regarding comfort and amenities due to the
remote location.
After breakfast, guests will check out from their hotel in Guptkashi and proceed to Guptkashi/ Phata helipad. From there, they will board a helicopter bound for Badrinath Dham.
Upon arrival at Badrinath Helipad, passengers can check in to their hotel, conveniently located near the temple. Our ground staff will assist with darshan at the sacred Badrinath Temple, ensuring a smooth and spiritually fulfilling visit.
In the evening, a visit to the nearby Mana Village is highly recommended. Known as the first Indian village after the international border with China, Mana offers a rare glimpse into local Himalayan culture, mythology, and scenic beauty.
Early in the morning, guests may participate in the Special Abhishek Puja at Badrinath Temple (optional and at personal cost). This sacred ritual begins promptly at 5:30 AM and lasts for approximately 2 hours. Participants are given a rare opportunity to sit inside the temple and witness the Shringar Darshan of the deity from close quarters.
After the puja, guests will return to their hotel for breakfast, followed by a helicopter flight to Dehradun. Upon arrival at the Dehradun Helipad, transfers will be arranged to the airport or railway station.

Note – Maha Abhishek Puja (early morning ritual) and Sandhya Arti (evening ceremony) are not be included in our package or billing cost. The total contribution for these rituals is made directly to the Badrinath ji Mandir Samiti. For guests who wish to attend these sacred ceremonies, vehicle charges will apply separately approximately ₹1,000 per vehicle on a direct payment basis.
Rudra Abhishek Puja at Kedarnath ji – INR 6,500 for 05 people.
The total amount must be paid in cash to the field support team representative at Dehradun, enabling us to arrange and book the Puja in advance on behalf of each passenger.
The arrangement of the Rudra Abhishek Puja is subject to the availability of rooms at Kedarnath Top, as passengers are required to stay overnight for the ceremony. Additional charges for the hotel stay will apply and are not included in the package.
Note: The Rudra Abhishek Puja is not part of our package or billing, as the payment for the Puja is made directly to the Kedarnath Ji Mandir Samiti.
Disclaimer – Accommodation at Kedarnath-top falls under the budget category, and guests may experience occasional issues with hotel services and room conditions. Additionally, temperatures at Kedarnath-top can drop to sub-zero levels during the night in September and October; therefore, passengers are advised to make their travel decisions accordingly.

CARRIAGE BY AIR ACT, 1972
The carriage is subject to field support team Services regulations relating to the conditions of Non-International Carriage (Passenger and Baggage) framed in accordance with The Carriage by Air Act, 1972 and Notification regarding application of the carriage which is non-international. The liability of the company for damage sustained in the event of the death or wounding of a passenger or any other bodily injury suffered by passenger or by his registered baggage during the course of carriage by air will be governed by the provisions of sections 4,5,6 and the rules contained in the second Schedule of Carriage by Air Act 1972 with certain exceptions, adaptations, modifications, etc. has notified in the Govt. of India, Ministry of Civil Aviation Notification and as amended from time to time.
FIXED FLIGHT TIMINGS
This helicopter tour follows fixed daily departure schedules for each destination. Passengers must strictly adhere to the designated Estimated Time of Departure (ETD) each day. Failure to comply will result in the passenger being marked as a NO-SHOW. The final and accurate flight timings will be shared one day prior to the Yatra
PASSENGER’S WEIGHT
Passengers must provide their accurate body weight at the time of booking. If a discrepancy is found during travel that causes the total aircraft weight to exceed the limit of 450 kg, the affected passenger(s) will be de-boarded and
their Heli-tour will be cancelled—no refunds will be provided in such cases.
Mandatory weighing will be conducted prior to boarding. If the actual weight exceeds the declared weight at the time of booking, boarding will be denied.
Additionally, we reserve the right to reshuffle passengers to ensure optimal weight distribution for safe flying conditions in the hills.
OVERWEIGHT CHARGES: PER SEAT BASIS ONLY
Excess weight charges for the Char Dham helicopter tour are fixed at ₹2,500 per kilogram, applicable to passengers whose body weight exceeds 75 kg. In case of any discrepancy in the declared weight, charges based on the excess
weight will apply. The applicable amount will be collected either at the hotel prior to the day of departure or at the helipad before flight boarding.
BAGGAGE ALLOWANCE
Only 5 Kg baggage per passenger will be permitted. Passengers are advised not to carry big suitcases as there is very small baggage space inside helicopter. Passengers bringing excess baggage might not be allowed to take the same in
the chopper by pilot. To address this, our staff provides duffle bags to all passengers during briefing. The total baggage allowance is determined based on the group’s combined body weight. If the total exceeds the permissible limit of 450 kg, excess luggage will be transported by road, and the additional cost will be shared among all passengers in that helicopter.
INFANT
Children above the age of 2 years will be considered full ticket. Infants below 02 Yrs /12 Kg are carried free of charge. In case of verification of age, ID proof (Birth certificate) of the child shall be checked.
BAD WEATHER AND FORCE MAJEURE DISCLAIMER
Helicopter operations in hilly terrain are highly susceptible to unpredictable factors such as adverse weather conditions and various Force Majeure events. These may include delayed Air Traffic Control clearances or permissions, VVIP movements, valley flying restrictions issued by the Indian Air Force (NOTAM), unexpected technical issues in the aircraft, illness of the flying crew, and late reporting of passengers at helipads, among other unforeseen circumstances. Passengers are advised to remain prepared for potential delays and inconveniences caused by these uncontrollable factors. We strongly recommend that guests plan for an additional buffer day in Dehradun beyond the standard 05N/06D tour duration. This precautionary measure ensures flexibility in case of severe weather conditions or other disruptions that may lead to a tour extension.
Other Terms and Guidelines for Char Dham Helicopter Booking 2026
- AADHAR Card copies are to be shared by all Indian passengers, & passport in case of foreign nationals.
- Any donations, tips, pitthu, palki/pony and porter charges shall be borne by the passengers.
- Field team has its own crew at all the Dham’s. For any guidance or assistance, Passengers are free to reach out to them.
- Network connectivity at Badrinath is very poor. BSNL & Jio are the main telecom services that work in these regions mostly, but not always. However, our staff shall be with the passengers for assistance at all times.
- Passengers are advised to carry a small oxygen bottle with them as a precaution. It is available locally at all medical shops.
- Although day temperatures at these locations are normal it becomes cold in the night and so passengers must carry woolen clothes with them.
- All passengers are advised to carry their own medication. We would like to inform our pilgrims that we do not provide insurance coverage for accidents, sickness, loss due to theft, or any other unforeseen circumstances. Therefore, we strongly recommend that pilgrims make their own arrangements for insurance coverage. Please note that all baggage and personal belongings are solely the responsibility of the client at all times.
MEDICAL EMERGENCIES
Company shall not be liable for any medical emergency on the ground to the party, thus advised guests to get the fitness certificate from doctor to travel to the high-altitude sector. The Company reserves the right to refuse to carry any person whom it considers unfit for travel or what in the opinion of the company may constitute risk to the helicopter or to the persons on board. No refund shall be done to such passenger(s).
RESCHEDULING OF BOOKING
Rescheduling of booking to a next date will be done subject to availability and on payment of 20% of the cost. This will be permitted only if applied 15 days before journey date. In case the rescheduling is requested with less than 15 days to the journey then booking will be treated as cancelled and a fresh booking will be given subject to availability.
PAYMENT TERMS
- Package Confirmation & Booking, please deposit the 50 % amount of the Tour cost to process the booking and the balance amount is to be paid 15 days before from your departure dates.
- Passengers are only allowed to board or initiate the tour after completing the full and final payment for the tour.
CANCELLATION POLICIES
We acknowledge that unforeseen circumstances may necessitate a change in travel plans. Should you need to cancel a confirmed booking, the following charges will apply:
- Administrative Fee: Upon confirmation of the booking, if the guest subsequently chooses to cancel, a deduction of 5% on the total package cost will be applicable, irrespective of the reason for cancellation.
- Cancellation Charges Based on Notice Period:
- Up to 30 days prior to departure: 30% of the package amount
- Up to 20 days prior to departure: 50% of the package amount
- Within 14 days of departure: No refund will be provided
- No Show: No refund will be provided
- Credit Note: A credit note will be issued for any cancellation of a Confirmed booking, subject to the above terms.
FORCE MAJEURE AND BAD WEATHER REFUNDS:
In the event of adverse weather on any of the scheduled five days, we will make every effort to complete the Darshan on the following day. However, if we are completely unable to visit any Dham due to persistent weather conditions, a refund of approximately INR 20,000/- (Twenty Thousand Rupees) per seat will be provided, covering only the flying time cost for each
affected Dham. If flying from Dehradun is not possible due to weather conditions or any other reason, a 5% service charge along with the cost of utilized services— such as hotel accommodation and transportation—will be applicable.
BAD WEATHER & FORCE MAJEURE POLICIES:
In the event of flight cancellations or delays due to adverse weather conditions, technical issues, or other force majeure circumstances beyond the control of the company, Pathikworld Tours & its Associates shall not be held liable for the disrupted flights. Refunds will be processed in accordance with our established refund policy. Please note that no compensation or reimbursement will be provided for accommodation, transportation, meals, or any additional travel expenses incurred by the guests due to flight cancellations. If departure from Dehradun is not possible for any of the above-mentioned reasons, the tour will be considered cancelled, and refunds will be issued as per company policy. Guests may choose to reschedule their tour for the next available date, and a fresh booking can be initiated accordingly. Our team will share the available options to assist with rebooking.
Any unused or remaining amount from the original booking may be applied toward the rescheduled tour. Any additional costs incurred will be borne by the guests. Should guests wish to extend their package itinerary, such extensions will be subject to operational feasibility and will be charged separately. In the event that adverse weather conditions prevent flights from Badrinath to Dehradun, guests will be responsible for arranging and covering the cost of their own hotel accommodation. If guests choose to travel back to Dehradun by road instead of waiting for the next day’s flight, all road travel expenses will
likewise be borne by them. Under these circumstances, the company will not issue any refund. For guests stranded at any Dham, if a group chooses to curtail their journey and return before the scheduled date, field team will assist in arranging road transport. However, the cost of this service shall be borne by the guests on a direct payment basis. No refunds will be issued for mid-tour cancellations initiated by the guests.
DISPUTES
Any disputes related to the legality, interpretation, application, or performance of the service or its terms and conditions shall be subject to the laws of Delhi Jurisdiction.
