Devalsari FRH was built in 1935 and is located amidst thick, virgin forests of deodar, rhododendron and oak in an atmosphere of peace and tranquility. It is located 20km from Dhanaulti and can be reached by fair camping grounds with tenting and camping facility and is frequented by students of various schools. Tourist groups from France, Germany and other countries have visited this FRH. Barking deer, leopard, sloth bear, yellow throated martin and approx 100 bird species have been recorded on the Devalsari-Thatyur 7km trek. Other trekking routes include to Ghudiappa view point 7 km and Nagtibba to Pantwadi 7km from the FRH.
